"Let Your Love Go" is a song written by David Gates and released as the
opening track on Bread's 1971 album Manna. The first single released
from the LP, it peaked at #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.
Manna is the third studio album by American soft rock band Bread, released
in March 1971. The title, like that of their preceding album On the Waters,
is a Biblical pun on the name Bread, in this case the manna from Heaven
which was fed to the Israelites. Although it was not literally bread
(the word "manna" simply means "What is it?") it has often been
metaphorically described as bread from Heaven. The LP peaked
at #21 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
