"Home Again" is a song written by Carole King and released as the
fourth track on Side 1 of her landmark 1971 album Tapestry. The lyrics,
coupled with King’s soulful voice and the melody’s melancholic charm,
evoke emotions of nostalgia, longing, and a yearning for something
familiar and comforting.
Tapestry is the second studio album by singer-songwriter Carole King,
released in February 1971 on Ode Records and produced by Lou Adler.
The LP topped the Billboard 200 album chart and remained on the
Billboard charts for 313 weeks (second only to Pink Floyd's
The Dark Side of the Moon for 724 weeks).
