"Alice Long" is a song written and recorded by Tommy Boyce and
Bobby Hart. It was released as the as the last song on side 2 of their
third studio album It's All Happening On The Inside in February 1969.
The catchy closer "Alice Long" sounds a lot like a lost Monkees track.
Sidney "Tommy" Boyce (September 29, 1939 – November 23, 1994)
and Bobby Hart (born Robert Luke Harshman; February 18, 1939) were
an American duo of singer-songwriters. The duo is well known for their
their songwriting for The Monkees. While working with The Monkees,
Boyce and Hart embarked on a successful career as recording artists
in their own right, releasing three albums on A&M Records in the
late 1960's. The duo had three top-40 hits including "Alice Long",
which peaked at #27 on the Billboard Hot 100.
