"Kissing My Love" is a song written and recorded by Bill Withers as the
opening track on Side 2 of his 1972 album Still Bill. In early 1973, it was
released as the album's third single and peaked at #31 on the
Billboard Hot 100 and #12 on their R&B chart.
Still Bill is the second studio album by American soul singer-songwriter
and producer Bill Withers, released in May 1972 by Sussex Records. The
album was recorded and produced by Withers with musicians from the
Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band. The rhythmic music produced for the
record features soul, funk, and blues sounds. A commercial and critical
success at the time of its release, Still Bill is regarded by music journalists
as the highlight of the singer's recording career and a classic of 1970s
R&B. The LP peaked at #4 on the Billboard Pop 200 Albums chart
and topped their Soul Albums chart.
